For 50 years Wayside Christian School has been able to serve families throughout Crawford county by providing a community of learning for both the academic and spiritual development of each young person.

At WCS, we are committed to providing our students with high-quality academics that stimulate learning and push them to think critically. We strive to ensure that our students have meaningful experiences that provide them with the skills and knowledge to be successful in the future.
Our academic curriculum is founded upon the principles and values of Scripture, recognizing it as the ultimate source of truth. We use the teachings and doctrines of Scripture to help form our students’ values, beliefs, and understanding of the world.
We strongly encourage all our students to reach their fullest potential by exposing themselves to a wide range of disciplines, including speech, drama, music, technology, and athletics. Doing so will enable them to develop diverse skills and enrich their learning experience.
We aim to identify and cultivate each student’s unique gifts, allowing them to flourish and fulfill the plan that God has for their lives.
At Wayside Christian School, the entire faculty and staff is unwavering in their commitment to serving each student with a heart of humility and compassion, recognizing that each one is a precious creation of God.

Yesterday was filled with lots of cleaning our community & landscaping! “Serving Our Savior” is such a great fundraiser & perfect for our families that are out of town. The kids are very excited this year, since the money raised will go towards the new school building! 👏🏻👏🏻🤩
WCS elementary went & picked up litter @ Bucyrus Area Youth Soccer – BAY fields (both sides), Lyons Park & Aumiller Park Pool. We lost count of how many bags of garbage these children filled but it wasn’t all work. The day was also filled with snacks, a great lunch & some play time. The Middle & High School were also very busy doing landscaping for ladies & school grounds. Also helping around the school cleaning & setting up for the upcoming Spring program this coming Friday @ 7.

🤖The National Robotics Challenge 2024🤖
There’s too much fun for just one post, so it will have to be two. BIG THANKS to Mr. & Mrs. Scott for their amazing work with our Robotics program @ Wayside Christian School! Plus their great group of volunteer advisors, Mr. Richey, Mr. Judson, Mrs. Emma, Mr. Justin & Mr. Jayden. There were over 400 robots entered in the challenge this year! With over 1,300 participants in the different divisions. Ranging from elementary, middle school, high school & post secondary (college). Thank you to all of the NRC staff, judges & volunteers that make it all happen!

The WCS Pork Dinner Fundraiser was another great success! A BIG thank you to everyone who helps in any way & to all of you who buy tickets! Also a THANK YOU to the Edward Jones offices in Bucyrus & Upper Sandusky & Wyandot Memorial Hospital for donating the tote bags! Very nice addition this year. Our school appreciates all of the hard work & effort that goes into this wonderful fundraiser. What a great event & we all look forward to the delicious dinner every year!
