What's Your calling?
Wayside Christian School offers an exceptional environment for service, and what truly sets it apart is our remarkable staff! WCS understands that the foundation of a flourishing Christian school is built upon its committed staff. We desire that every faculty and staff member utilizes and enhances the gifts bestowed upon them by God. Here is a list of qualities that we value in all our employees:
We are in search of individuals who are called by God and comprehend the broader perspective of ministry, recognizing the uniqueness and value of each person’s role. This understanding serves as the driving force propelling us to go the extra mile and wholeheartedly invest ourselves in the mission of the school.
We are looking for individuals with a personal, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ, evident through the fruits of the Spirit, active church participation, and a dedication to living a biblical lifestyle.
We are seeking individuals who have intentionally prepared themselves for service in the Christian school setting through education and relevant experience. This deliberate preparation not only affirms the calling one has received but also serves as a positive testimony in the community, reflecting WCS’s commitment to selecting the most qualified candidates possible.
We are seeking individuals who can seamlessly integrate themselves into the culture of Wayside Christian School. Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to serving one another and every student with genuine humility and compassion, recognizing the inherent value of each individual as a precious creation of God.

Wayside Christian School is a ministry of Wayside Chapel representing Jesus Christ throughout the local community. Wayside Christian School requires its employees to be born-again Christians, living their lives as Christian role models (Romans 10:9-10, 1 Timothy 4:12, Luke 6:40). This includes regular attendance at a bible believing church of like faith and practice. Employees will conduct themselves in a way that will not raise questions regarding their Christian testimonies. A Christian lifestyle should reflect the Biblical perspective of integrity and appropriate personal and family relationships, business conduct, and moral behavior. An employee is expected to demonstrate a teachable spirit, an ability to share love for others, a willingness to live contentedly under authority, and a commitment to follow the Matthew 18 principle when an issue arises with fellow employees or management.
The Wayside Christian School Statement of Faith expects employees to maintain a lifestyle based on Biblical standards of moral conduct. Moral misconduct, which violates the bona fide occupational qualification for employees to be Christian role models, includes, but is not limited to, promiscuity, homosexual behavior, sexual orientation, transgender identity, or any other violation of the unique roles of male and female (Romans 1:21-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-20). Wayside Christian School believes that Biblical marriage is limited to a covenant relationship between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:21-24, Ephesians 5:22-33). It is the goal of Wayside Christian School that each employee will have a lifestyle in which “He might have the pre-eminence” (Colossians1:18).
Wayside Christian School requires all employees to have a background check (FBI) and proof of fingerprinting (BCI). All other volunteers must have a background check through Protect My Ministry.
